Summary of Responsibilities:

Handles immediate needs of the public dealing with transactions of property tax, motor vehicle, special taxes or any other transaction required in the everyday operation of the tax office.

Essential Responsibilities and Functions:

  • Works under the direction of the Tax Assessor-Collector.
  • Processes motor vehicle registration through State RTS Computer System.
  • Provides information to the public as requested.
  • Receives property tax payments through Windows application.
  • Answer incoming calls and provide customer service.
  • Light filing.
  • Maintains a high level of professionalism in exercising job duties.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Reliable and dependable attendance.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of relevant software applications including MS Office.
  • Ability to interact with public in a professional manner.
  • Good numeracy skills.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent (GED).
  • Must have knowledge of standard office equipment.

Salary:  $22,289.00, plus medical, dental, vision, retirement, vacation and paid holidays
